Mick Watson is an artist who lives and works in St. Leonards-on-Sea, UK.
My work is concerned with form and colour as a means of exploring how we see and make meaning: how perception and memory operate and where they can form tension. I'm particularly interested in the gap between internal experience and external reality, and in the ways attention moves, distorts and deceives.
Conditions such as aphantasia and questions of embodiment inform both the subjects I work with and the methods I use to approach them.
